Note from Kathleen Pingelski, President

Weren’t we in the same place last month, starring at a pile of snow and wishing spring was here? I am wondering when we will be able to break out the golf clubs, bikes, gardening tools, baseballs and hiking gear. Spring weather can’t be too far away, can it?

In the past month, the MicroKnowledge team has been delivering many of our Professional Development classes. Facilitation Skills, Customer Service and Time Management classes have been delivered to New York State agencies, private sector businesses and non-profit organizations. The feedback has been very positive and participants attending the sessions have increased their productivity at work.

Eleonora Morrell TrainingWe had a successful Customer Appreciation session on Office 365 and Cloud applications. On May 22, we have a guest presenter, Jo Ann LeSage Nelson of Pierce Communications talking about Writing with Clarity for Maximum Effectiveness. This is always a sellout session so be sure to register early.

I am excited to announce that MicroKnowledge is sponsoring a fundraiser for the American Heart Association on Thursday, April 17 at The College of Saint Rose’s Massry auditorium featuring contemporary classical pianist Matthew Maguire, who will graduate from Saint Rose in May. I was able to participate in the Heart Association’s Go Red event in Plattsburgh and can tell you that this organization does wonderful work in our community. Please read Community Matters to learn more about the American Heart Association.

Be sure to read all about Documentation Strategies, a leading provider of information, technology and training services, in this month’s Tech Valley’s Brightest.

As always, check out our Try This, It Works section for helpful tips in Excel and Windows 7.

Until next month (when I hope we will be talking about daffodils poking through the ground), be sure to contact me with any training needs you may have.
