Note from Kathleen Pingelski, President

I don’t believe it, but I actually golfed recently for the first time this season and then within the same week I could have skied. Now, that is the best of both worlds! However, I am ready to put the show shovel away and enjoy swimming and walking as the weather gets warmer and sunnier.

I am excited to introduce you to our newest team member, Nick Root. Nick has an extensive background in IT support and training end users in a legal environment. Look for Nick in your next Microsoft Excel, Outlook or Word class, and please join me in welcome him to the MicroKnowledge Team. Read more about Nick.

Be sure to register for our May 22 Customer Appreciation session on Writing with Clarity for Maximum Effectiveness. Jo Ann LeSage Nelson of Pierce Communications will be our guest presenter at the session and she is a master on this topic, so you won’t want to miss it. The last time Jo Ann presented this program it was a sellout, so be sure to register early.

concertWe had an excellent turnout for the American Heart Association benefit concert at the Massry Center at The College of Saint Rose earlier this month and raised more than $2,000 to support the AHA’s May 10th Heart Walk at The Crossings in Colonie. Additional support is always needed so please click here to donate to the MicroKnowledge Team or join to our team.

We hope we’ll see you at the upcoming 19th annual Hudson-Mohawk American Society for Training & Development conference on Friday, May 16. Read about the conference and guest speaker John Robinson in this month’s Community Matters. You can also learn more about our pick for this month’s Tech Valley’s Brightest, Virtusa Corporation, here.

As always, be sure to check out our Try This, It Works section for helpful tips in Excel and Access.

Remember, I’m always eager to learn more about how we can help you meet your training and computer needs. Don’t hesitate to reach out to me to share your ideas.
