Note from Kathleen Pingelski, President

Spring is finally here!  We are in full swing with an array of Office 2013 training sessions covering new and efficient techniques for getting your work done.

Training courses have started at the BEAHIVE in downtown Albany with great success!  Please check the upcoming courses for another series beginning in June!  In September and October, we are presenting two informative Customer Appreciation Days, Creating Simple Websites for Free Using WordPress and 12 Lessons for Getting Started with Conducting Webinars.  It is not too early to register and reserve your seat!

Stay tuned for upcoming details on an exciting MicroKnowledge training location in the Queensbury area.  We’ll kick that off with a series of Customer Appreciation Days on PowerPoint 2010 Building Effective Presentations and Managing Change.  In addition, ongoing professional development sessions and computer training courses will be available.

Webinars easily fit into our customers’ schedules.  We are offering webinars customized to meet your employees’ specific skills development needs or you can quickly sign up for one of our regular offerings.  In July we are hosting a session on Using Styles in Microsoft Word and in August we are exploring the Benefits of SharePoint.  Please visit our hosting partner, Trainer’s Direct, to register for these MicroKnowledge webinars.

Many of you have taken a course or two from Eleonora Morrell. Get to know her a bit more and see what keeps her busy beyond technology training!  Also, take a look at Community Matters to learn about Colonie Youth Center, Inc. and how the staff there is creating an impact on more than 13,000 children and adults in the region. Our Tech Valley Brightest features miSci (formerly the Schenectady Museum), the only science center in Tech Valley.  Consider going to see the THINK® created by IBM exhibit, which explores how technology, people and processes are making the world work better.

As always, don’t forget to take a look at Try this It Works for helpful tips.

Like many of you, we’re anxious for the start of golf season.  Hope to see you on the greens.
