About us
Never underestimate the power of training your team. You can have a satisfied, skilled, engaged, and efficient team in weeks.

MicroKnowledge, Inc.

In 1986, many companies, not-for-profit organizations, law offices, and New York State Government agencies were beginning to use software applications to streamline their operations. They needed a training partner to help maximize their investments in these new software programs and that is where MicroKnowledge came in.

For nearly four decades, we have grown our own knowledge base and training expertise to keep pace with the explosive growth of software available to organizations of every type and size. Today, we provide training in different formats, including in-person, live remote, and self-paced. We also provide technology software consulting and help desk support.

When these industries need support,
they turn to MicroKnowledge.

Government

MicroKnowledge has worked with state agencies and municipalities since 1986, providing training on Microsoft, Adobe, web design, SQL, data analytics, and high-end technology courses. We have presented training and consulted in 62 counties in New York State and supported 64 counties for the State of Colorado.

Technology

We partner with large technology companies when they develop a proprietary software application. We work closely with the developers for UX design input, UAT testing, documentation, and training for end-users. We also provide a level of change management to help address the many issues that arise when transitioning from a legacy system. We have the flexibility to scale up as necessary to meet client needs and expectations.

Healthcare

We supply customized training sessions to physicians and administrative staff on the integration of the Microsoft Office Suite with Electronic Medical records applications. We provide first, second, and third shift sessions to accommodate the 24/7 needs of the medical community.

Education

We deliver training and consulting to faculty, staff, and students at colleges and universities in the northeast. Training on creating accessible PDFs and Office documents is a special niche in higher education. We have also supported technology equipment rollouts and device training to students.

Not-For-Profit

We continue to help many not-for-profit organizations stretch their training and consulting dollars by providing creative training solutions. We strive to ensure the organizations use the tools they already have as effectively as possible.

Banking

We do training and consulting for banks and credit unions. Among other programs and features in the Microsoft Office Suite, Excel templates, and monthly report automation are among the topics we teach.
Brand Promise: If you don’t find value in our training, we won’t charge you — period.

At MicroKnowledge, we are passionate about community involvement, one of our core values.

As a company and as individuals, we are committed to giving back to the community in which we live and work. Members of our team donate time, talent, and funds to many organizations in our community, not to seek recognition or awards but to assist those in need. Some of our recent initiatives include:

  • Sponsoring the American Heart Association Go Red for Women initiative as a company.
  • Donating training classes and sponsoring students through the Capital District Women’s Employment & Resource Center (WERC).
  • Riding in the annual Tour de Cure event to raise funds for the American Diabetes Association.
  • Mentoring women through the Freihofer’s Run for Women program to promote healthy living and wellness.
  • Knitting to raise funds for nonprofit organizations that address food insecurity as part of a twelve-hour “Knit for Food Knitathon.”
  • Participating in the American Heart Association’s annual Heart Walk.

Throughout our nearly four decades in business, our community helped us grow into the organization we are today. We are committed to continuing to give back to the community to ensure its long-term vitality.
